Christo: "Today we would like to answer this very basic question. So, why do we call ourselves Original Christians?“
Martin: "We call ourselves Original Christians because we consider ourselves to be in the following of Jesus, the Christ. We have decided to fulfill His teachings in our lives, the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, and His teaching comes from the primordial, original stream, and thus, Original Christian.”
Primordial, original stream? What is that?
The teachings of Jesus, the Christ, come from the infinitely eternal law, which is immutable. It is God’s eternal love, God’s eternal wisdom, greatness and mercy, the all-encompassing law.
2000 years ago, Jesus said: “My Father and I are one.” And so, this means that Jesus, who became our Redeemer, drew from the infinitely eternal source, from the infinitely eternal law of love, wisdom and mercy. And this is why, we call ourselves Original Christians, because we follow Jesus, the Christ, and want to move in the primordial, original stream as well, so that one day – even if by then we no longer are human beings, but souls – we are able to say: My Father and I are one.
Through Jesus, the Christ, God taught freedom. To be free means to live according to the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Jesus, the Christ – above all, the Sermon on the Mount. Original Christians live and also think as Jesus taught us. For this, we need no traditions or ceremonies, because every tradition is binding and institutional.
Let’s take another look at the statement by Jesus of Nazareth: “My Father and I are one.” He said “My Father.” We should realize that His Father is also our Father. He is the Father of all people and all beings in infinity. He is the Creator-God of the animal and plant kingdoms, of nature. Christians, also Original Christians, pray in the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed is Your name. Your kingdom comes, Your will is done, on earth as it is in heaven.” “Our Father,” that is to say, “Our Father”! What does this mean to us?
Itxaso: "Well, Martin, there are Original Christians in Universal Life all over the world, including in Spain, where I come from.
For Original Christians in Universal Life who are aware of “Our Father,” all people are brothers and sisters. This is why we ask our viewers to forgive us in addressing them so informally. Because you, too, are our brother; and you, too, are our sister. When we feel deeply into the Lord’s Prayer, we feel the unity. No matter where we may be – “Our Father” links us.
“… who art in heaven, hallowed is Your name” – what does this mean? We should make His name holy, and His name is, in turn, the holy, eternal primordial law, the immutable law of love, of wisdom, peace and mercy.
“Your kingdom comes, Your will is done” – aren’t these wonderful, these words that Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ of God, taught us?
“Your kingdom comes, Your will is done” – But what is His will? Again, it is the fulfillment of the eternal law of love, of kindness, of wisdom, mercy and peace.
The Kingdom of God is in the very basis of our soul as essence and power, because our spiritual body, which is in the soul, is immortal. The one who awakens the immortality in the awareness of “My Father and I are one,” feels that God is calling him. “Your kingdom comes, Your will is done” – then suddenly His kingdom is also our kingdom, our homeland. The peace is our peace; the love is our love, the eternal, primordial law.
And so, the one who moves in his heart “Your kingdom comes, Your will is done” – realizes that basically it is our homeland – our divine, eternal being, our divine heritage. The person who accepts this more and more and feels it in himself will take the “Lord’s Prayer” seriously and will do what God wants.“
